Hi, I'm Jo.

Also known, as the ‘short one’ or the ‘always cold one’. I grew up in Kent, in a pretty ‘white’ area. I like to think I had a pretty ‘normal’ upbringing. University was the first time I got to socialise with people of different cultural backgrounds. This was a highlight of my life as I felt I could finally relate to people who had similar tastes in music, reading and food to me. Where I got my interests from I will never know as my parents are quite traditional…I think MTV base had a heavy influence on me! I spent most of my childhood with my friends, dancing and listening to music – which I still do now however it’s usually accompanied with a glass of prosecco! I’ve also picked up a few extra loves including baking and eating cake, keeping active (to balance out the cake – work hard, eat hard is my motto), travelling and American Football, which is our Sunday evening TV slot!

I have been so fortunate to spend time in America (like many, I find New York a dream) but my new favourite place to travel is St. Lucia. I really love spending time with people there, learning steel pans and trekking. The pitons stole my heart and I’m already planning how to retire out there…one can dream, right?

We’re currently based in the South West of England where I work in psychology and try to find the best places for prosecco and cake.

Hi, I’m Ken.

I’m probably best described as a massive child (…despite being 6’2)! I don’t take myself too seriously and take each day as it comes. I’m also incredibly random and just a tad clumsy. I like to categorise myself a ‘lazy extrovert’; while I love to talk and socialise, if I’m being truly honest, 9 times out of 10 I would rather be inside where it’s warm and I have access to all the food in the fridge. A little unknown fact about me that may surprise you, Jo and I love to dance and have done a few Latin and ballroom lessons. Yep, that came as a surprise to me also BUT hey, your boy can tango! (Although Jo’s poor toes may have been stepped on a few times)

I was born in Sierra Leone, raised in London until I was 13 and then moved to Essex - which was an interesting experience. The original plan growing up was to become a professional footballer… but that never worked out. My world has still always revolved around sports as well as music and computer games. But, thanks to mum, I followed my back up plan and went to University. It’s also where I met Jo.
